Poverty Crisis
The poorest 40% of the world accounts for only 5% of global income, while the wealthiest 20% account for 75% of global income. Approximately 1.6 billion people do no have access to electricity. 884 million do not have access to clean water. There are approximately 2.2 billion children worldwide with 1 billion of them living in poverty. 640 million children live without adequate shelter, with more than 100 million of those being considered as “street children”.
