Finding Belonging in Christ: Anjali
ANJALI WAS BORN INTO A COMMUNITY THAT DIDN’T WANT HER.
She was abandoned by her parents soon after she was born. Then, she was severely abused at the hands of relatives who should have loved and cared for her. But her story doesn’t end there…
An aunt took pity on Anjali and her situation and brought her to 25 Project’s Mercy Home in South Asia. Though deeply wounded by her childhood, Anjali began to experience God’s grace through her house parents and through the loving community of believers.
Anjali learned for the first time about a loving Father who sent His Son to die for her sins, the sins of her family and relatives, and even the sins of the whole world! She learned that she was loved and wanted by the God of the universe.
GOD REVEALED TO HER THAT EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE SHE HAD EVER LOVED OR DEPENDED ON HAD ABANDONED HER, HE HAD ALWAYS BEEN THERE AND WOULD ALWAYS BE THERE.
Anjali has surrendered her life to following Christ. She is now in her final year of seminary education. Anjali has decided to dedicate her life to serving women and children like herself who are experiencing trauma and abuse. Though she was once hopeless and hurting with nowhere to go, God transformed her life. Anjali now serves as a beacon of God’s grace and hope to those who are suffering in her community.
