Abdulai A. Kargbo

Social Worker – Sierra Leone

Abdulai A. Kargbo is from Sierra Leone and was a beneficiary of 25P sponsorship. Our director picked Abdulai up from the streets, and he was subsequently sponsored for over seven years. During his time as a beneficiary of the 25P, Abdulai graduated from Senior Secondary and attended Milton Margai Technical University (MMTU). In 2023, Abdulai graduated from MMTU- Goderich Campus with his Diploma in Social Work.

2023 was a big year for Abdulai. In addition to graduating from university, he also accepted a position with the 25P as our first social worker. Our Waterloo director says, “Abdulai is a hardworking and responsible man who is always willing to serve and learn about the Almighty God”. 

Abdulai has a  passion for his job and the people he serves with, but especially the vulnerable children in the 25P ministry. Abdulai provides counseling to children and their caregivers/parents. Abdulai says, “My one-and-a-half years as a volunteer at The Ministry of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs-Waterloo has added to my experience. I am very much pleased to work and be part of the 25 Ministry staff, and I will do my best to be a servant leader and make sure that other children’s lives positively change just like mine has.”
