Adamu Molla was born in Korah, Addis Ababa—a place marked by hardship, close to the city’s trash dump. Living with his mother as her only son, Adamu grew up witnessing the community’s daily struggle for survival as neighbors scavenged for food and recyclable materials. As Adamu faced many hardships growing up in Korah, his faith in Jesus became his anchor, and with this anchor, Adamu was committed to rising above adversity—not just for himself, but also for his community. He found joy in helping others, offering whatever little he could to ease their burdens. Whether it was sharing a meal or offering a listening ear, Adamu began to find purpose in helping others and soon began to share everything he could, believing that even small acts of kindness could bring hope and be a witness to his faith in Christ.

Adamu’s favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
