José (Jeicon) was born in the Dominican Republic. He was not raised in a Christian home, yet he always felt drawn to the things of God. At the age of 12, he discovered his passion for music and, over time, learned to play several instruments (guitar, piano, and flute).

When Jeicon was 16, he came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Later, he had the opportunity to join a secular music group; however, God had other plans for him. Years later, he trained as a leader in a church, serving as a youth pastor and leading the worship team.

Throughout his life, he has faced many setbacks and disappointments, but he has learned that God fills every void. Jeicon has a son (Oscar Daniel), whom he hopes to continue teaching about the love of God and to train up in the way he should go.

Currently, Jeicon serves as our manager in the village of Villa Linda, and he is joyful and blessed to share the Word of God with the vulnerable children. His life stands as a testament to how music and faith in Jesus Christ can transform hearts and bring hope.

During his service, Jeicon volunteered with the International Alliance of Chaplains and trained as a chaplain. It was there that he met the woman who is now his wife, Elizabeth, who serves as our country director. Jeicon felt a deep connection with the work she was doing with children in the villages; since then, he joined her efforts, becoming an integral part of that ministry—a ministry dedicated to working with children that has flourished through the will and grace of God.
