Smriti was born into a Hindu family. Her father was a farmer and her mother was a housewife. When she was in Class I, her father passed away due to kidney failure. This tragedy totally disrupted the entire family in all the areas of their lives because he was the only breadwinner.

After her father’s death, Smriti moved to her mother’s village. In 2004, at the age of seven, Smriti came to live at Mercy Home. So, Smriti grew up in Mercy Home and began to learn about Christ through so many who invested in her including her house parent, her sponsor, and through so many who came to serve at Mercy Home.

Smriti says that God is always her Father and has provided for all her needs. In 2015 Smriti decided to serve full-time in Mercy Home while attending college. She subsequently graduated from a four-year university. She is committed, faithful, and serves the children and God with great enthusiasm.
